It’s okay to be Selfish with Self Care.

I recently wrote a post about mental checking ourselves. This week will be a quick post on ways to provide oneself, love. And yes, you may need to be a little selfish.

This week take an hour each day to yourself to pray, meditate, or take a nap. Maybe take the time to disconnect from social media. With this Coronavirus, I find myself having to disconnect from the news to keep my sanity in check. Enjoy a glass, or better yet a bottle of wine, while you read a book, magazine, blog, or listen to a podcast. Try Yoga, Pilates, or a simple workout.

Wives, ask your husband to cook this week, or at least one day. Husbands, surprise, and delight your wife with a home-cooked meal or clean the house.

Journal your thoughts, hopes, and feelings, then make them actionable.

Today or this week, take the time to be selfish and focus on you.

Remember, you are no good to anyone if you can’t take care of yourself.
